Program Disclaimer
Consumer is applying for assistance of up to $500 toward emissions-related repairs of the participating vehicle. Consumer understands the purpose of this program is to aid with emission-related repairs needed to pass smog testing required by the State of California to reduce pollution in the San Joaquin Valley. - The participating vehicle meets the following criteria.
- Currently registered in California.
- Registered with California DMV as a Planned Non-Operational (PNO).
- Currently delinquent in the California registration renewal process.
- Is not currently eligible for a manufacturer’s warranty, extended warranty or have any emission related open recalls. Please click here for more information.
- Is gasoline-powered light or medium duty (GVWR less than 14,000 pounds). Please click here for more information.
- The registered vehicle owner is an individual, nonprofit, or a small business.
*Vehicles in the title-transfer process are accepted if they have paperwork showing attempt(s) to register, often this is called “incomplete application” on the registration form.
*This program is designed for vehicles registered to individuals, nonprofits, or small business.
*We do not accept car owners involved in the business of purchasing and selling vehicles.
*Administrator has the right to decide the number of vehicles an individual, nonprofit, or a U.S. Small business owner could apply for. All cases will be reviewed and approved at the discretion of the program administrator.
By accepting assistance from this program, consumer agrees to participate in a random follow-up emissions test at no charge. Consumer also understands that if a participating vehicle is found to have missing, tampered with, or modified parts necessary for testing at a participating STAR certified smog shop, the vehicle may be disqualified from the program. By redeeming this electronic voucher, consumer gives express written consent to the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District and/or its agents(administrator) to capture, use, study, report, and disclose information provided in this application and any related vehicle emissions data to other third parties as allowable under applicable federal, state, and/or local laws or regulations. Consumer hereby grants permission to Valley CAN and its representatives to use photographs and/or video of me taken at the Tune In and Tune Up event in publications, news releases, online and other communications related to the mission of Valley CAN.
By redeeming an electronic voucher, the consumer declares, under penalty of perjury, under the laws of the state of California, that the information provided with a Consumer Application is true and correct.
